Chhath Puja is performed for four days, starting from the fourth day (Chaturthi) and concluding on the seventh day (Saptami) of Shukla Paksha (waxing phase of moon) in the month of Karthika (November – December). During this four-day puja, devotees observe fasting and worship the sun god.
हिंदू धर्म का महापर्व छठ का पहला अर्घ्य आज दिया जाएगा. व्रत धारण करने वाले महिला-पुरुष विभिन्न घाटों पर अस्ताचलगामी भगवान भास्कर को पहला अर्घ्य देंगे। नहाय-खाय के बाद गुरुवार को व्रतियों ने खरना किया. इसके साथ छठ पर्व के तीसरे दिन की तैयारियां शुरू हो गई. आज शाम सूर्यास्त 05:26 बजे पर होगा.
